On second thought...

After so much trouble, argument, bitching, frantics, bitching, near-begging, bitching, some pimples, a drop of tear, and more bitching, I finally got it but I'm having second thoughts instead of rejoicing.

Why?

But it's not what I've really wanted in the first place. The fact that it is ranked 300+th in the world, even beneath some of it's Malaysian counterparts(no offence, people), is dauting enough.

The prospect could have been brighter if the fellow peers are fun fun fun people, but sorry to say the least, i'm not excited(again, no offence).

Should I change it? But if cannot how? Give it a pass?? After so much trouble with the little wonder which really makes people wonder? OMG!

Life's a bitch sometimes. Makes you run round and round in circles when you so desparately wanted to break free from the cycle. But then the gods decided they are tired of watching you running around like a directionless idiot, so they decided to show you the way out. You so happily run towards it without hesitating, only to find that the new exit is a path leading to another similar circle, only with more people running around in it.

*Le sigh*

I guess this is what we call adulthood? You wanted something badly and pursued it with all your heart, but when you finally have it, it doesn't seems to matter that much anymore. And left you wondering who's the real fool in the first place.

And when you turn to look beside you and see others rejoicing in happiness, you feel sour inside. "Why couldn't I have the same??" . Yes, jealousy.

The Panic Attack!!!

I don't know about other people but when I'm under stress, I'll eat.

And when I'm under immense amount of stress and starts to panic, I'll still eat, although my stomach will produce gaster juice like mad. This in turn, causes gastric.

So when I eat when I'm panic, I have gastric.

stress+stress+stress = PANIC

PANIC+eating = Gastric.

Gastric = Pain = Sien = Sad = Angry = Wanna use the f-word = Incoherence of this post.

The Name

Everytime your name pops up on my screen I've got mixed feelings.

Most of the time it'll be more of exasperation then anything good.

I'll be wondering what would you want this time, let out a sigh, before proceeding to view your messages relunctantly, all the while keeping my fingers crossed.

Your name alone scares me. Imagine what your presence can do then.

December 2008 Genting trip

This trip is sooooooo long ago. I've been too lazy to post about it. But there's one thing that I must must MUST write so the I'll never ever forget-my virginal casino entrance, and the RM100 that I won. YES!! Considering I've always believed myself to be luckless at this kind of thing, I'll be damn happy to win even just a toilet roll, let alone RM100. Woohoo!!

This is the only pic I could take of the casino without risking being removed by the security

Taken with Kling(hastily) inside the casino. Free-flow of coffee, tea and milo available.

I was 12 the previous time I've been to Genting before this. Now, I'm 21, a whole nine years before I went there again. A lot of things have changed from what I'd remembered Genting to be. Before, the tourist were mainly local chinese families with small children and a few ang moh's. Now, it's FREAKING full of the other races in Malaysia and the Lala's (Bengs and Lians), the latter all dressed up in gears so colourful it makes you wonder whether you're at the Art Attack Festival instead.

The service has also seriously downgraded(rude malays *ahem ahem*) so much. We waited in line for the go-kart for more than 90 minutes just to have the go while the bloody staff took their own sweet time to so-called sembahyang. I'm not saying that they shouldn't go, but can take turns? There were so many of you but you just have to go together without even informing the poor visitors waiting in vain? And must you SWAYED so ever slowly back to your duty after that? Bloody people don't deserve their pay. Oh yeah, we also went on the Corkscrew ride, me and Yuek on the very first seat. Came down with a-little-wet-eyes and sore throat while Yuek turned an interesting shade of green which the Incredible Hulk would be jealous of, Priceless!!

And the air!!! Whatever happened to the cool and fresh air outside which is Genting's main attraction?? It's bloody smoke EVERYWHERE!! Walao. Inconsiderate smokers. Smoking literally everywhere, especially while waiting in-lines for the rides. There's small children there for goodness sake. And it's not like they'll be done with just one puff. Most irritating part is when another smoker decides to join in the fun and started yet another round of puffs. Other people pay for their vacation to be surrounded with smoke isit??? Hope you get lung cancer you yellow-teeth suckers!!

Even the herbal tea eggs have changed. They used to be bigger with the shell intact.

The stall selling the eggs near the temple area near the Lim Goh Tong's Memorial Residence, a bit down from the peak . I can't remember the area's name.

The temple area had a rather serene atmosphere compared to the rowdy scenes at the peak up there, aided by the drizzle earlier before we arrived. Mum and Yuek went around exploring while Kling and I sat around waiting for them because her ankle hurted from an earlier sprain and I hate walking on wet ground in my slippers, doing well on my path to bimbo-ness. Hehe.

While waiting for them, I kept the shutter bug in me happy by snapping away at random objects and views using my 3.2mp SE K770i. I so need to get a proper camera.

The serene view I was talking about. Somehow it's just so dream-like and calming.

Rows of lantern decos even though it was still 2 months away from CNY.

This explains the gradient nail-colour I have on my feet now.

So cute I couldn't resist snapping of photo of them.

Which reminded me of a pic I took some time ago on yet another trip.

Anyone remember this? Mum calls her the "Cameron Bao Bao".

I think I've developed a weird interest of snapping pics of random babies on my trips.

When mum and Yuek finally appeared, Yuek grumbled at what lousy pics my mum took and so, they proceeded to drag me along with their exploring again just to make me their photographer . Oh, how I feel the love.*rolls eye*.

Happy that they have a decent photographer with them.

Kling decided to join us later despite her ankle because she's too bored from waiting for us. That's her 2nd round of herbal eggs.

Some other pics I took up there. I love the pagoda pic. The sun was shining just so nicely at the peak. If only I had a better camera with me. Ggrrrrr.....

Surprisingly I enjoyed the brief time down here more than the "happening" scenes up there. I wouldn't mind spending my vacations in a slow pace like this at all. Perhaps I really am an old soul inside. -__-".

One last thing.

KON KON!!
How can I left him out from this entry when Yuek had so painstakingly sneaked him up the car to bring him along the trip. Mum's threatened to throw him out or left him behind in the hotel room when she'd found out. You'll know that she's not serious though based on this picture alone.
Yup. We're a crazy bunch of family which speak of Kon Kon as though he has a life of its own and is part of the family.

More on my Dec holiday soon.
P/S: I held Kon Kon to sleep that night. Yuek woke up all furious and accused me of snatching her Kon Kon away during the night. Not my fault that she threw Kon Kon at me in her sleep hor...

Continuation of stuffs that bothers me

Apparently mum decided to have a change this year. No cny cookies. Yes. You read it right. I can hear some of you gasping and arguing "But WHY??!!" already. Well, let's just say she's kinda tired from the bakings all those years. And before some of you start to weep at the corner, the good news is you might get jiaozhi though if you visit this year. Let's just keep our fingers crossed, ok?

I'm writing this because after so many years of having varieties of cny goodies at home to serve to the guests, I'm really not used to the idea of mum not baking. I can't help feeling a bit "bare" without those goodies stacking up prettily on the table and counter. Not to mention not to be able to eat them. =( Well, I'm in no position to argue though since I'm not the one making them. Good thing mum's jiaozhis are rather good too. And less fattening. There. Jiaozhi 1. Cookies 0.

Meanwhile, it's only the 1st week of school and I'm already immensely stressed. Not with schoolwork (though it's inevitable to happen soon), but by the same person which has been stressing me to my limit before. I should have just been firm enough to say no and rejected him/her that time. Whatever possessed me to agree to it at the first place. I brought the endless hours of slugging my butt of in front of the lappie all upon myself. No wonder the humugous fugly pimple still won't go away after so many days. *headtables headtables*

Don't know what else to say.

*continues to headtable.*. Bam Bam BAM!!

of pimples, killer-xpensive books, and boring friday night

The titles literally said it all.

Humungous pimples on my face just less than 2 weeks before cny.

Text books so expensive they make me hyperventilate.

Friday night which is suppose to be fun-filled and exciting but spent cooping up in my room instead. I could almost hear the fellow hall people cheering their hearts out at the courts now.

Somehow it's only the start of the sem but I'm feeling unnaturally lethargic. Perhaps that's aging? =(

The essence which changes people

There's this thing where people you use to be close with suddenly seems like a stranger to you. Worse still, their presence had become uncomfortable to bear with. How did this happens? It's not like there's an argument or anything unpleasant that took place. It's just sort of..drifted apart.

*Sigh*. Time really does change people doesn't it? I wonder though whether it is you or me who had changed...

School starts today..

Sucky timetable this sem. First day of school today and I can already foresee I'll be sleeping throughout all Research Methods lectures, even with two different lecturers. They are both rigidly monotonous anyway. Oh, in case u are wondering, I did doze off during today's lectures. Yeah, both of them.

Ahhhh, I can't wait for CNY holidays!!!

The "best" friend says hi

It's a 40 degree celcius out there, I'm wrapped tightly in my wooly blanket and thickest jacket yet I'm still shivering like mad.

Period sucks.

Ladies night out

OK. This is a LATE belated post. But better get it done with anyway.
The outing took place right after exam, which is more than a month ago.

First stop. Shokudo. This Marche-styled japanese restaurant.

The ladies. Jean and I .

And the "Lady" of the Night, Tesh, with his new prisoner haircut. Lol!

The cards that we are holding are actually used to order the food that we want. Payment will be charged into the cards when we order and will be made at the cashier before leaving.

Next up, the food!! We attacked the food before we could take a nice picture of them. What gluttons we are.

The remainings of unagi hotplate, kani(crab) soup and omurice(ommelete rice) by the time we remembered to take picture of them.

Tempura mushrooms. The shitakes were AWESOME.

Next stop, Timbre Arthouse. Where Fly and Lydia joined us. The ambience there's quite good but then the service sucks. This malay(not discriminating) waiter knocked into me and spilt some beer on me. It was clearly his fault but my reflex kicked in and I apologised before I realised anthing. Stupid guy not only did not say sorry( even though it wasn't his fault he still must, i'm the customer!!!), he give me the "tiao" face somemore. Go die la. That aside, the duck pizza was great and the band was quite good.

My drink of the night- Cosmopolitan. So "Sex and the City" according to Chareli. Lol.

The bugger and the messy, Fly and Lydia.

Then we went for what was initially supposed walk but someone suggested we should go check out the new club Zirca since we were near there. So, we were like "Ok, let's go." and before we knew it we were club hopping from one to another. Hehe. Zirca wasn't very exciting. Next was this Cina club where the performances were rather horible (think getai with more exposed flesh). We only went in because it's displayed outside the ladies can get 3 free lychee martinis. But alas, it's dissapointing too. Poor Tesh had to wait outside while we went in the clubs because it was "Ladies Night". Haha. But mean while he met up with his friend who got him into this Attica club. So, we all went there instead after the treat of distasteful show and drunken ah peks swaying to the music.

Attica was rather good, both the music and the crowd. There's 2 floors there. The bottom were mostly indian expats(not the smelly kind la but the more westernised 1), while the top are mostly angmohs. We joined the crowd at both dancefloors. Meanwhile, there's this major "orgy" going on the top floor where a bunch a guys totally devoured the girl in the centre right in the middle of the dancefloor. A bit wtf. I know it's normal to have lots of grinding and groping but to just really "get it on" in the middle of the crowd? That's really quite wtf la. We left at around 3.30am.

Outside the club after all the working out on the dancefloor. Rather shag. Fly was behind the camera.

I don't really like clubbing stuffs but that night actually turned out to be an enjoyable one. Might be because of the de-stressing effect after exam or might be because of the "ladies", especially more so for Fly, whom I've haven't seen for ages and really missed.

Planning to go again before school starts. Or before everyone's busy.

There, finally post it! =D

Extra

I hate it when people make "extra" plans which involves me being part of their plan without my consent first.

I hate it even more when the person makes the "extra" plan is a certain someone.

It might be also maybe because I'm biased.

Decisions..

Should I highlight my hair again this week or should I wait until next month and re-colour the whole thing?

There's this promotion going on at Kimage now until 12th Jan where hair colouring is done by experienced stylist and priced from $14-40.

Whereas there's this other institute salon Kimarie where hair colouring costs $40 for two times(within the same year) and done by the associate students. Reviews has been good though.

Should I or should I wait? Maybe I shall toss a coin....

2009

Goodbye 2008. I survived. The year that was literally a nightmare to me from May onwards.

Hello 2009. I'm excited. The year that I'm looking forward to new changes and challenges.

My only resolution this year is to live a full live and be happy. That's all. Simple yet it is very difficult to attain. But I'm going to start the year with full blast. No point saving up the energy for "later" use, because "later" may never come. Everything will be "my pace" from now on.

To all my family and friends, a Joyful and Happy New Year to you.

Cheers. =)
